HOT CHOCOLATE SPOONS

This is a very easy little project and makes a good teacher gift or just a little gift for someone - put a few in a mug and wrap with cellophane and tie with a pretty ribbon and put on a tag and you are done.  Or just set them out for people to stir their hot chocolate to make it extra chocolatey and extra good with the peppermint and the marshmallows.

All you will need is some plastic spoons, crushed peppermint (either the kind already crushed in a jar or buy candy canes and crush in a heavy plastic bag), melting chocolate and miniature marshmallows. I like to use bakers dipping chocolate. But you can melt chocolate chips, etc.  You could also use white chocolate or do a few with each type of chocolate. If you wanted them to have more of a peppermint flavor you might also add some pure peppermint oil to the chocolate.
This is simple and mess-free as you  just microwave the chocolate in the container and then dip your spoons in the chocolate, put (3) little marshmallows on top and sprinkle with crushed peppermint.  Set them on a cookie sheet to completely dry and then you can either put little bags around them and tie off with ribbon or just wrap them in plastic wrap and tie with a ribbon.
