ST. PATRICK'S DINNER DAY TABLE

Even though we are not Irish (well maybe we are a little, we have not done the DNA testing) I love to celebrate St. Paddy's Day.
The table is set for two. I was going to just get a little bouquet of white tulips (I love tulips) but was in Marshall's and they had these beautiful white flowers, very large as we are seeing everywhere these days, I could not resist and thought they could be used for many things.  I pulled just one - not sure what they are supposed to be but my best guess would be Casablanca Lilly, to make a festive arrangement.
I just used the Lilly, some preserved cedar (it is so leafy and looks very elegant) pipe cleaners and some of the foam shamrocks from the $store.
Very simple in a little lead crystal vase.  I used the pipe cleaners to attach the shamrocks together (so they look finished) with a little hot glue and added the green & white polka dot bow.
I took the Valentine items out of these two cute lanterns and added a fresh candle, sat them in some green beads (found a big bag of them on clearance for .89 cents) added a couple of strips of wire shamrock garland around the top, added a little boxwood and then the festive ribbon.

Very simple, very fast and ready for a New England boiled dinner for St. Paddy's Day.  Will publish the menu for the dinner along with recipes on a future post.
