I bought this ($3 I think) and it was one of those things with a weighted stand designed to set on a table. I took some bigger wire cutters and cut the stand part off thinking I would somehow use it with my new wreath but too glitzy but I thought it would be good for something else.
I took one length of the ribbon and tied on the back....
Outside...
The entry table is always fun to decorate.
I think the "glittery heart" is a nice touch and looks great on the mirror and I'm thinking I will try and hang other things this way as it is a bit of a pain to take down the mirror to add a little wreath, etc.
Just simple this year.....
The cupid lanterns are a very simple craft project. I did these last year and they were featured on The Graphic's Fairy. As a blogger you just never know what will appeal to folks but this post was one of my favorite posts of all time with followers. Here is the link to full instructions: Link.
Lastly I have to say something about my little funky Valentine rabbit. She is done by a Castle Rock, Colorado artist who's name I do not know (darn). After luncheon with a friend we went into this little country/artsy shop that was going out of business. I spotted her and she was nothing because they were closing the next day. I loved her and inquired about the artist (I wanted MORE) she gave me the name but I was never able to be in contact with the artist. What you cannot see is she has a little backpack full of sweet hearts. Notice on the bottom her frame is a pine cone - cutest pine cone art I have ever seen. I know she would not appeal to everyone but she talked to me and I wanted one for my sister too but that did not happen.
